The Yak Hotel is A famous hotel in the
heart of the city of Lhasa in Tibet in China.
It is only a five minute walk from Tibet’s
holiest temple, the Jokhang, Ramoche monastery,
and the Barkhor street.
The hotel was officially opened in April
1986 and has received an average of over
6000guests a year. It has 62 rooms and 185
beds, with standard, medium and deluxe rooms,
and hot water available 24hous a day.
Services that are also offered include:
(1)a car park; (2)room service; (3)car and
bicycle rentals and; (4) a business centre
which includes an IDD and Fax line, a banking
counter, etc.
The hotels’ restaurant is located
to the left of the front gate of the hotel.
It serves excellent Tibetan and Chinese
cuisine. It is one of the best and most
well known.

both locals and foreign tourists coming
often.
The staff of the hotel is well trained,
speaking Chinese, Tibetan and English. They
provide tours, vehicles and professional
guide services.
If guests need a doctor, the hotel will
provide a car, free of charge, to take them
to the hospital.
